A trembling hand used as the lock itself, trying to stop the occupier from breaking in. The yellow line becomes a wounded border, while the red background carries the stain of war and blood, and her hand begins to break beneath the force of the door.

22*30 Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by the story of Catherine Douglas, a 15th-century Scottish woman who placed her arm inside the iron locks of a door to stop intruders from entering.
